Saying Goodbye to Bella Blvd

I've dreaded writing this post...really dreaded it! Since I've started designing in the scrapbook industry there have been a lot of teams that have come and gone. I've had very few (actually only one) bad experiences. Overall I've loved my design team work. In 2012 I took a chance and applied for my first manufactures design team, Bella Blvd. I was completely shocked when I got the invitation to join the team, I screamed when I got the email. Little did I know that I would grow to love that company and being a part of their design team. I designed for Bella for two years. Recently, I stepped down as a designer for Bella Blvd. That decision was the hardest decision I've had to make thus far in my scrapbooking career. I know, its just a design team. There are tons of design teams and manufactures, but I fell in love with Bella! They took a chance on me and believed in me enough to add me to their design team. I fell in love with their products, the owner of the company, and their design team coordinator, AND the many amazing designers I've had the opportunity of working with. When the time came for me to decide whether or not I would keep designing for Bella I really wanted to find a way to stay on the team. When it became apparent that it was time for me to move on, I was heartbroken. I can't imagine what the coming weeks/years will be like for me without Bella design team assignments. I will still work with their products because I truly do love them. I just won't have projects on their blog anymore.
Today I'm sharing with you some of my favorite projects from Bella Blvd:

In case some of you are wondering about me saying goodbye to many of the companies that I've been designing for, in no way am I stepping away from scrapbooking or designing professionally. I'm simply shifting my focus onto projects for a handful of manufacturers and putting more focus here on my blog. You will simply find my Bella Blvd projects here rather than on the Bella Blvd blog.
Is there a scrapbooking manufacturer that you love?

Tis' the Season a Carta Bella Layout

If you're looking for the TRUE SCRAP 6 Giveaway please click HERE.
Hello there! I'm excited to share with you a layout that I created with the "Christmas Time" collection from Carta Bella paper company. When I got this collection I loved how traditional it was. It's the perfect good, old fashioned Christmas collection. At the top of this layout I created a fun element with a few pieces of flair that go along with the collection.
I also tried something new with my sewing machine, I stitched with gold thread. I tried to stitch perfect circles...ha ha. That didn't work so I just went with the wonky stitching and stitched around each piece of flair a few times.
I think it added a lot of fun texture and interest to this project. In the end I liked how the wonky circles added a bit of whimsy to the layout, I think it goes well with the silly photo on the right side of the layout.

What mistakes have you made on your projects that you ended up liking/loving/or even repeating? Sometimes is the imperfect projects that become my favorites.
