How to Make Fabric Feather Embellishments

Do you like to create your own embellishments? I love to but I don't often take the time to do so. Recently, I did take the time to create my own fabric feather embellishments. I used the Spellbinders Platinum 6 die cut machine and the birds of a feather die. I had so much fun creating them I created WAY too many of them. (I've added the extra feathers to my stash so watch for more projects with these cute little feathers.)

All you'll need to create these embellishments is a Platinum 6 die cut machinewhite fun foam, fabric, and the birds of a feather die and my sewing machine.
After I created the embellishments I added them to a scrapbook layout. You can see this entire layout come together with the feather embellishments on my YouTube channel:
I LOVE how this layout (with handmade embellishments) came together.
If you haven't done so before, you should try making your own embellishments. Thanks for stopping by today. I'll see you again soon :)

DIY Christmas Gift Bag

I know, it's only October but Christmas will be here before you know it. I'm getting a jump start on my Christmas crafting and making my own DIY Christmas gift bags. I've been playing with the new Platinum 6 machine from Spellbinders and a few Spellbinders dies. I paired a couple of Spellbinders dies with the Christmas Delivery collection by Carta Bella paper for this project. (There's a complete supply list at the end of this post.)
I created a video showing how these gift bags came together. It was really fun to play with so many different materials and have the steel ruled dies cut through them with ease.

The details on this bag add so much texture and interest to the stockings.
Since creating these two bags I've created several more. Now I have a few in my stash ready for the busy holiday season.
Have you started any holiday crafting projects? Hopefully you'll be inspired to create some DIY Christmas gift bags of your own.

Disclosure: Spellbinders sent me products to use for this project. This post also contains affiliate links. All opinions I share are my own. I only share products with my readers that I use and love. Thank you for supporting my blog.
