National Scrapbook Day with Pebbles Blog Hop Giveaway

Isn't it cool that scrapbookers get their very own day and today is the day! It's {Inter}National Scrapbook Day. You should have arrived here from Eva Pizarro's blog.

If you're a fan of giveaways, today has to be one of your favorite days. There are givaways galore today and my blog is no exception. I'm hopping today with the ladies from the Pebbles team and we have fun givaways on all of our blogs.

I used a mix of the Home+Made collection and the Cottage Living collection. Both of these collections are inspired by Jen Hadfield of Tatertots and Jello. Jen's collections are some of my favorite products to work with. I love the bold graphic designs and I have a lot of fun working with the incredible embellishments that come with both collections.

Craft Supply Giveaway Winner Announcement

Thank you for your patience in waiting for the announcement of the craft supply giveaway.  It was a busy week/weekend and I've been feeling a bit under-the-weather lately. This morning I had my kiddos help me pick a winner. We used a super scientific method.
I'm sure you've heard of this method before and maybe even used it yourself. I wrote all the of entries down on a slip of paper and put them all in my super cute green casserole dish and I had my kids choose one. They wanted to choose LOTS (I wish I could send all of you a little something). They finally relented and chose one piece of paper.

And....

the lucky winner is......

Karen Ladd, you are the lucky winner!!!

Thank you ALL so much for playing along with me. I will be having another giveaway coming up in the next couple of weeks and it's even bigger and better!! Make sure you subscribe to my email list so you'll be notified when the giveaway starts.

Have a great Monday!

Welcome! I'm glad you found your way here! I hope you arrived from Erin Stewart's blog.
Today, my challenge to you is a simple one, hand stitch on your project. Yup, it's that simple. With Amy Tangerine's Stitching templates it's even easier!

http://paperissuesstore.myshopify.com/collections/amy-tangerine
Hand-stitching is one of my favorite techniques! I love these stitching templates because it makes stitching so easy!
Hand stitching is cathartic for me. I love to hand-stitch on a layout while watching TV. It so relaxing!
I used 3 different stitching patterns on this layout (leaves, zigzag, and a heart).
And here's the completed layout:
I have a great prize for one lucky reader. It's a $20.00 gift certificate to the Paper Issues Store
And to make that $20.00 go even further the winner OR anybody can use the code becki20 when you check out to receive 20% off your entire order!

All you have to do to enter is to leave a comment on this post. I would really appreciate it if you entered your email address into the box on the right under the "subscribe to Becki Adams blog" title AND if you'd like my Facebook page it would make my day!

Let's celebrate National Scrapbooking Day Bella Blvd style! For the last two years I've created an All About Me project for Bella Blvd's National Scrapbooking Day Extravaganza! It's a great reminder to create about yourself.
As a mom I wear many different “hats” I decided to create a layout featuring all the different titles and jobs I have. I went a little letter sticker crazy to get all of the titles on there. With so many words on this page I let the words serve as my title and journaling.

The Bella Blvd Design Team was also asked to answer 5 questions about themselves.
1.    What are your top 5 supplies/products that you cannot scrap without?
This question is easy for me to answer because I just packed a very small bag of supplies to take on a trip with me. Here’s what had to go in my bag: paper trimmer, spray mist (mustard yellow, teal and black), washi tape, small stapler, dimensional adhesive
2. What to you listen to while you scrap? TV, music, or do you do your best work in silence?
My scrapbooking area is in a corner of our main living area so I’m usually creating with several other people in the room. I always have my ipad on my desk and one ear bud in my ear. Most of the time I’m catching up on my favorite TV shows. I’m going through a bit of a Masterpiece Classic phase.  Call the Midwife, Downton Abby, and The Bletchley circle are amongst my favorites.
3. What snacks and/or drinks are beside you when you're scrapping?
My favorite snack while I’m scrapbooking is chocolate covered cinnamon bears. Have you tried them? YUM! It’s also not uncommon to find a bowl of almonds on my desk either.
4. When do you do your best scrapping? Are you a morning scrapper, a late night scrapper, or do you find time during the day?
Most of my scrapbooking is done during the day. I like my sleep in the mornings and I’m busy with kids activities and bedtime in the evening. So, I spend a lot of time at my desk during the day when the little ones are playing.
5. Where do your layouts go once you're done with them? In albums, in piles, or shoved in random places?
When I’m finished with a layout it goes into a pile in my closet. When the pile gets too deep I divide them into albums. I have a current album for each of my kids and a family one. By the time I actually put my layouts into albums I could fill 3 or 4 albums at a time.

Now, are you ready for letter sticker mania?
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make sure you hop over to THIS post to enter a giveaway for a $20.00 gift certificate to the Paper Issues Store!
