Paper Issues: Say Cheese with Maya Road

The latest issue over at Paper Issues is live today, titled "Say Cheese" (think of any thing related to photos: favorite photo, camera embellishments, "say cheese" as a title, cheesy smiles, Polaroid frames, Instagram/Polaroid/vintage photos, silly things kids say, or just use Maya Road products). Maya Road is sponsoring this issue. They provided me with an adorable bag of goodies to play with. I jumped right in and knew that I wanted to incorporate lots of their metal clips onto my project.
Don't you love that heart clip!?!??!?! I adhered it on with a little bit of glossy accents. It worked perfectly, even on a transparent frame.

Those cute white transparent frames are from Maya Road as well as the blue polka dot fabric tape. I wish you could feel the texture that the fabric tape adds to the paper elements.

When I had most of the layout finished it still felt like something was missing, so I took a ruler and drew a pencil line around the edge of the layout. Then I put a thin line of glossy accents over the pencil line and carefully placed some Maya Road twine on the line of glossy accents. I tied a bow in the lower left hand corner of the layout with the ends of the twine.
Make sure to link your projects to this issue so you can have your chance at winning a goodie bag from Maya Road. Link your projects HERE!

Elle's Studio Designer Gallery

Almost 9 years ago I had a sweet little baby girl. I can't believe it's been that long! I'm feel so blessed to be her mommy. She is the sweetest little girl.
I created this layout to document a little bit about her birthday using the Elle's Studio February kit. There are so many fun little bits and pieces in this kit...Valentines themed and some for everyday use.

And here's the entire project:
Hurry and get your kit HERE before they are sold out.

I'm catching up a bit today. I wanted to share my projects from the Paper Camellia January kit. This kit was so much fun to work with. Ria does an amazing job putting these kits together! I got 5 layouts with the main kit and the add on and I could still get a couple more done with the bits that I have left. (get ready for lots of photos)

I used the Bella Blvd Snapshots line. I LOVE the colors in this collection. They are perfect for little girls!

Designer Introductions at Bella Blvd

Hey Everybody! Happy Monday! Thanks for stopping by! I'm so glad you're here! If you made your way here from the Bella Blvd Blog or from another Designer's blog please enter your email address to the right so you'll receive updates from my blog!

Over the next couple of weeks on the Bella Blvd Blog you'll get to meet all the new designers and see the projects that were part of their applications. I'm excited that I get to share a couple of my projects here today.

The Snapshots line is such a fun line! I combined it with a feather and a die cut title to create this layout:
I thought that attaching a feather under the title would be tricky but it really wasn't. I simply put a small line of liquid glue along the vein of the feather and then stapled the end of the feather with my tiny attacher. The die cut and letters stuck perfectly to the feather.
Now we're gunna shift gears and fast forward to Christmas....(just for a minute), it will be okay, I promise!

Bella has the most adorable Christmas line! I love the whimsical images and the bright colors. I think I used every piece of patterned paper in the collection to make this layout. I also may have gone a little circle crazy...maybe not...

My kids  may roll their eyes someday when they look back at this photo but it's one of my favorites!
