One of *Those* "Mommy Moments"

I remember the moment I took this photo so clearly. We were at a baseball game and the weather was finally nice enough that we could venture out of the car to watch the game. My two little kiddos ran out on the grass with a book and sat down.
My little girl started reading to my little guy and I had one of those nostalgic "mommy moments" where I thought, "They're growing up too fast!"
I documented these thoughts with the Plus One collection by Amy Tan for American Crafts. (aren't those black thickers amazing?!?!)

I outlined the hearts with a black pen and put foam adhesive underneath a few of them.
And here's the completed project:
Squish your littles today! They don't stay little nearly long enough!

Make Your Kids Do the Work for You

Recently my little lady has started writing in cursive. She practices her cursive writing at every chance she gets. My pens are constantly missing and I need to go buy more notebooks. She LOVEs writing. While I was working at my desk and she was sitting next to me writing away I decided to pass the journaling card to her.

I love the authenticity it adds to my scrapbooking and I love that she can be involved in my creative process.

Do you involve your kiddos in your scrapbooking?

Elle's Studio March Reveal

Are you awake? I am but I'd rather be sleeping. This time change is rough, especially for the little ones. My littles will be in rough shape for a few days. I do love the the longer days though. It will be wonderful to have a little more daylight.

We've been busy over at Elle's Studio working with the March kit. I decided to shake things up a bit and create a mini album about my day to day routines and activities. I was inspired by THIS project by Jen Gallacher. I adore Jen, I was able to meet her a few years ago. She's a beautiful, amazing woman! I so admire her and her work.

Elle's Studio March Kit is for sale HERE. This kit has so many wonderful little bits, perfect for everyday projects or for spring projects. Here's the album I created:

Designer Introductions at Bella Blvd

Hey Everybody! Happy Monday! Thanks for stopping by! I'm so glad you're here! If you made your way here from the Bella Blvd Blog or from another Designer's blog please enter your email address to the right so you'll receive updates from my blog!

Over the next couple of weeks on the Bella Blvd Blog you'll get to meet all the new designers and see the projects that were part of their applications. I'm excited that I get to share a couple of my projects here today.

The Snapshots line is such a fun line! I combined it with a feather and a die cut title to create this layout:
I thought that attaching a feather under the title would be tricky but it really wasn't. I simply put a small line of liquid glue along the vein of the feather and then stapled the end of the feather with my tiny attacher. The die cut and letters stuck perfectly to the feather.
Now we're gunna shift gears and fast forward to Christmas....(just for a minute), it will be okay, I promise!

Bella has the most adorable Christmas line! I love the whimsical images and the bright colors. I think I used every piece of patterned paper in the collection to make this layout. I also may have gone a little circle crazy...maybe not...

My kids  may roll their eyes someday when they look back at this photo but it's one of my favorites!

***Just a quick note. Today is the last day you can sign up for True Scrap 5 and use the $50 coupon. Click here for more information and to read about my experience with True Scrap.***

Celebrating the 4th of July with Bella Blvd

Hey Everyone! Happy 4th  of July (well, almost). I have a layout to share from the Bella Blvd blog. I was sent this image to use a inspiration...
What inspired me about this photo was the essence of the photo. To me this photo is all about a bright happy picnic sort of a day so I chose to create a layout with a picnic theme. I started this layout by creating a large yellow sun. I created the sun my misting a piece of white cardstock with yellow mist and then stitching around the edges with bright orange embroidery floss.
The journaling block didn't turn out quite as I intended it so I ended up hiding the journaling behind the title.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! :) Have you tried hand stitching on any of your projects? I'd love to see. Leave me a link in the comments and I'll make sure to take a peek :)
