Scrapbook Generations Create Magazine

Recently I was asked by the ladies at Carta Bella to create a couple of projects for Scrapbook Generations Create Magazine. I am thrilled to find another online scrapbooking publication! The sketches they gave us to work with are amazing! The Carta Bella Boy oh Boy collection is what I worked with. I used this adorable photo of my son and my nephew.

Here are a couple of sneak peeks of the projects that I created. I actually created a two page layout. I KNOW, I can't remember the last time I created a two page layout AND I love how it turned out! I can't wait to see what you think!

Let's Talk Tuesday: Journaling on a photo?

Have you ever journaled on your photo? Until recently, I hadn't either. After creating this layout I fell in love with this technique!

My husband took this photo of my little man. I was at a meeting while the boys were out playing in the dirt. I immediately fell in love with the photo. When I started working with this photo I really wanted to add my journaling right on the photo.

There are a few ways to do this:

• You can add the text in most photo editing programs by typing in a text box on the photo (I use Photoshop Elements.)
• You can print on the photo just as you would print on a journaling card by printing the journaling on a plain sheet of paper and then adhering the photo to the paper on top of the journaling and then run it through your printer again. 
• If you love the look of journaling on the photo you can print your journaling on a transparency and then lay the transparency over the photo.

On this layout I printed the journaling at the same time I printed the photo by adding the text in Photoshop

I used the Imaginisce Perfect Vacation line for this project. I don't have a ton of travel photos but I do have lots of little boy photos. The colors and patterns in this line are perfect for little boys too!

CHA Designs for Bella Blvd

Good Morning everyone! I'm so excited that I finally get to start sharing with you my CHA projects for Bella Blvd.  It's inspiration week over at the Bella Blvd blog.
 
We're starting things off with the Max Collection.
If you've been looking for the perfect boy collection you've found it! This collection is amazing! I had so much fun working with it! I can't wait to work with it some more in the coming months.

Celebrating 2014 With New Adventures

Happy New Year! I hope you have a fun and safe holiday! We're taking it easy at our house and will just spend the day relaxing and enjoying a family day!

I do have a bit of exciting news to share! I've been keeping a secret, for a very long time! I'm so excited to finally spill the beans today.

Elle's Studio will be my home for the next 6 months! I'm so excited to be designing for them. Their products are amazing.

Here's a project that I submitted for the Design Team call.

On this project I used the Cameron line and went with a simple grid design. It's so fun to create projects for little boys with this line.
