Elle's Studio and Hip Kit Club Blog Hop

Welcome to the Elle's Studio/Hip Kit Club Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Emily Wilbur's blog. When I got the kit from the Hip Kit Club I was so excited to see so many fun elements in there.

 Isn't it an adorable kit!?!?

Recently I wrote a post about using ALL your letter stickers. I wanted to use this technique with this kit too. I used the Dear Lizzy letter stickers to create a large element on the left side of the page. This project is titled "Mama Becki" it tells the story of my niece and how she calls me "Mama Becki"
I added some adorable stickers and die cuts to create the title:
Here's the completed layout:
I also created a simple card. I used my crimper to add a little bit of texture. The wood veneer is from the Elle's Studio Shine collection. (One of my very favorite collections! You can see 3 more projects I created with this line HERE.)
Here's the entire list of stops on the blog hop today, just in case you get lost along the way.

Let's Talk Tuesday: Using ALL of Your Letter Stickers

Welcome to Let's Talk Tuesday! Thank you so much for being here and for your sweet comments about this new series. If you're just finding your way to this series you can find previous Let's Talk Tuesday posts right here:
Let's Talk Tuesday: Lines
Let's Talk Tuesday: Journaling on a photo
Let's Talk Tuesday: One Photo Layouts
Let's Talk Tuesday: What to Pack When Creating on the Go

Today we're talking about using up all of those letter stickers. I have piles and piles of letter stickers that are collecting dust. I don't use them anymore because most of the letters are gone. All I have left is a bunch of Q's, Y's, Z's and J's.
I decided to see if I could make a dent in all those left over stickers. I created 2 layouts.
The first layout I created I created a fun busy border around the entire layout.

I made a big dent in my stash but I still had a few packages of white Thickers that I wanted to put to good use. I used only white and pink letter stickers on this project. I love the impact of the pink letters mixed in with all the white.

This layout is one that I created a while ago. Long titles are another way to use some of those letter stickers. This layout features a really long title. (This is a great way to feature one of your favorite quotes too.)

Here's another way to use those letter stickers:
(You can find more details about this project, here.)
Do you have piles and piles of letter stickers that you just can't throw away but that you're not using either? Dust them off and put them to good use, I know you can do it!

Darling Photos {mini album tutorial}

Good morning! Happy Wednesday! I hope you are well and making it through the work week. Things are going well here. Spring is on it's way, I just know it's coming! I went to yoga class last night, one of my classmates was telling me that her tulips are just starting to come up. I'm so excited for warmer weather.
Yesterday, I had a tutorial on the American Crafts Blog. I created a mini album using the Plus One collection. I will admit that this project did give me a grey hair...or maybe two, but it was so worth it! I adore the finished product and so does my little lady.
Here are a few photos and then you can hop over to the AC blog and get all the details HERE.

Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions about my mini album or my creative process. Just click on the "contact me" button on the right. I'd love to chat with you and answer any questions!

Life Paper Scrapbook Sketch and a New Company

Life Paper Scrapbook has a new Sketch Challenge up today! This sketch was so easy to work with. I did change things up a bit ;) Here's the Sketch:

and here's my take on the sketch:

There's a great prize up for grabs for those who play along with this sketch. One lucky winner will win 6 packages of flair!!
Here are all the details on this fun new company:
Studio Fourteen40 is an exciting new business who made their debut into the paper-craft scene in September this year. Owner and designer, Sandra Allan is ecstatic that her 'baby' generated so much interest and excitement within such a short time.

Sandra, who lives with her husband Matt and their three children in Melbourne, Australia has a keen eye for detail and a love of design and colour. Having worked within the industry and alongside some amazing talent, Sandra had a deep seeded dream to launch her own collection of scrapbooking embellishments and make her own mark on the industry, eventually taking the plunge and giving birth to Studio Fourteen40.

Whilst it is early days at Studio Fourteen40 and Sandra has 13 collections of tin button flairs released, there are plenty more on the drawing board. Sandra has grand dreams for her business and cannot wait to share more of her designs and release other embellishments into her line.

Visit www.facebook.com/Studiofourteen40 to keep up with the latest releases and exciting announcements and view the entire range.

www.studiofourteen40.com - Store, will be opening shortly.
Have a great weekend! Take some time for yourself and get some scrapping done!

Still Smiling~American Crafts

Hey there, I had a project up on the American Crafts blog yesterday.
I have fallen head over heels in love with Amy Tan's stitching templates! The Hello template from the Cut & Paste is the template I used to stitch these leaves. It was so easy and they turned out so pretty! This is one thing I will be using over and over so to take my designs to the next level.

The majority of this layout is from the new Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party line. I've found myself using a lot blue from this line...a color that I don't use a lot of. I love it when a collection inspires you to step out of your comfort zone and use something you don't normally use. I always love the results!
Here's a list of supplies I used to create this layout:

Thanks for visiting today! Make sure you enter your email addy in the box to the right. I'm moving my blog soon and I don't want to leave anyone behind!

Have a wonderful day!
