About Me

My passion resides in photos and storytelling and the magic that happens when those two elements coincide.  There’s something very special about documenting a memory with a photo.
“Just get started” is what I say when I’m asked where to begin a scrapbook. All you need is a piece of paper and a pen; if you have a photo, that’s even better.

I do my best to make magic happen between photos and storytelling.  I am a designer, blogger, memory keeper, teacher, writer, a scrapbooker and a family historian, although I feel, my most important title is that of Mom.
I was born and raised outside of a small farming town in Idaho. Even though I grew up on a potato/wheat farm I don’t eat potatoes or wheat. (My dad is mortified.) I currently raise my kiddos in a home that is only a few miles from the home I grew up in.
My husband and I reluctantly met after being set up on a blind date by both of our families. After our awkward first date we went on a second date and you could say the rest is history. We were married a few weeks later. (Yes, I said weeks.) Fast forward almost 14 years and we now have 3 amazing kids. We live within a few miles of both of our families. We love spending time with our families. We’re a houseful of book worms. My daughter did an estimate the other day and estimated that we have close to 550 books in our home. Yes, we have a bit of an addiction to books. I love reading and learning. My goal is to raise lifelong learners.

A bit of randomness about me:
I love a clean house, a good book, and a really great cup of hot chocolate (in the winter) or a glass of raspberry lemonade (in the summer). Oh, and chocolate, don’t forget that I love chocolate. I also love a great find in a thrift store. My most favorite things to look for are books and dishes…a girl can never have too many dishes, or books.

My passion for scrapbooking started when I was given the assignment to create a scrapbook in my high school home economics class. I really started to be passionate about the hobby after my son was born in 2001. Since I entered the world of online scrapbooking in 2006 by designing for CreativeXpress (a subsidiary of Provo Craft) I have had the opportunity to work with many amazing companies and have made lifelong friends through this amazing hobby. I took a short break from professional designing in 2009 when my youngest son was born and we built our home.

In 2012 I returned to professional scrapbooking as a design team member for Bella Blvd. Since then I’ve had the opportunity to work with many manufacturers in the Paper Crafting industry including: Bella Blvd, American Crafts, We R Memory Keepers.
I’ve also been a part of many amazing design teams such as: Paper Issues, Life.Paper.Scrapbook, Paper Camellia, and Express the Moment.
Today, Pebbles, Elle's Studio, Imaginisce, and Carta Bella are my home.  I truly love this industry and feel very grateful to be a part of it!
Beckiadams.com is a labor of love for me. Many, many hours of thought, writing, editing, photographing, research, and even a few tears (along with many more triumphs) have gone into this blog. I want this to be a place where scrapbookers learn and come to find inspiration.

My hope that is through my work others will be inspired and feel empowered to start documenting their own memories.

If you are interested in having me teach at your local scrapbook store, or for an online class; shoot me an email. I’d love to chat with you about it.
