List Journal

I'm a memory keeper at heart but I'm not good at keeping a personal journal. I've tried and it's never worked out. I've found a journal that I love and that I've been good at keeping up with, a list journal, specifically this one: Listography Journal: Your Life in Lists. I found this journal at a book store a while ago and I left it there, I'm not sure why because I loved it. A few days later I bought one on Amazon and two days later it was on my doorstep. I think you can tell a lot about someone even if there's only a few words. For example, you can tell that I like to watch sitcoms and dramas. I don't like to watch sports, documentaries or very many reality shows. (Although, I just realized that I forgot to put Dancing with the Stars on this list. I'll have to add that one.)

Process Video on the Weekly Scrapper Blog

Hi friends! Remember when I said I was waiting for the quiet days of Summer (in my last Life at our Home)? Well, I'm still waiting for a few of those quiet days. So far our Summer has been great but a little more chaotic and busy than I wanted it to be. Things have slowed down a bit in the last few days. Partly because some of our Summer activities are over and partly because my body said that it was time to slow down for a while. (Look for more stories from our Summer in an upcoming Life At Our Home post.)
While it appears that I haven't been doing much as far as crafting goes, I really have been busy. I've got so many fun projects that I'm working on behind the scenes and that have been on other websites.

Come Peek in to my Scrapbook Space

I say "come take a peek into my scrapbook space" because I don't have a scrapbook room, yet. For right now I use a corner of our master bedroom as my scrapbooking space. Most of the room is quite a disaster. Let's be honest, I just need a room. When we do finish the basement in our home, a scrapbooking space for me is the #1 item on the list. I think my husband will agree (he may get a little tired of our bed being covered in patterned paper, embellishments, and adhesive when he gets home from work everyday. Truly, the man is a saint for putting up with me and my scrapbooking shenanigans.

Recently, I decided that even though my scrapbooking space isn't what I want it to be right now I want to make the best of the situation I am in. I had my husband build me a shelf out of crown moulding that was left over from my framed photo canvas. I'm so grateful to have a husband that helps me make all my crazy ideas into reality. He did an amazing job with this shelf, it fits perfectly and is exactly what I wanted.

Announcing...

I'm so excited to finally tell you that I'm going to be blogging over on the Scrapbook Expo blog (the Weekly Scrapper). I'm thrilled to be working with a great company that is passionate about papercrafting and educating scrapbookers. From now on, I'll have a project over on the Weekly Scrapper blog every Thursday. These posts will be called, Inspiration Station with Becki Adams.

My sweet friend Jen Gallacher has been doing the Inspiration Station posts. Jen is amazing, I know I'll never fill Jen's shoes but I will have some great projects to share. Today, I'm sharing a couple of my favorite projects and a new project I created just for my introduction day on the Weekly Scrapper blog.
Here's a sneak peek of the layout. Make sure you hop on over to the Weekly Scrapper blog to say "hello" and see the entire layout.

Summer Blog Hop

Hello, welcome to the Summer blog hop! I'm so happy to have joined forces with some amazing designers to bring you some fabulous double page Summer themed layouts.

I chose to  make my layout about my son at the park. The funny thing about that time at the park was that we were there for about 5 minutes. Yep, we were there long enough to go down the slide a couple of times and go down the fireman pole. I documented this because of a lesson that my little man taught me in those short five minutes.
