Welcome to the Elle's Studio/Hip Kit Club Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Emily Wilbur's blog. When I got the kit from the Hip Kit Club I was so excited to see so many fun elements in there.
Isn't it an adorable kit!?!?
Recently I wrote a post about using ALL your letter stickers. I wanted to use this technique with this kit too. I used the Dear Lizzy letter stickers to create a large element on the left side of the page. This project is titled "Mama Becki" it tells the story of my niece and how she calls me "Mama Becki"
I added some adorable stickers and die cuts to create the title:
Here's the completed layout:
I also created a simple card. I used my crimper to add a little bit of texture. The wood veneer is from the Elle's Studio Shine collection. (One of my very favorite collections! You can see 3 more projects I created with this line HERE.)

My most recent aha moment is just scrapbooking for the fun of it, let go of the pressure! Newest technique I love is stencils, so many options. Your layout is lovely, well designed and a true memory captured!
ReplyDeleteYes! Shawninaz! That's what scrapbooking is all about, having fun! Thank you for your sweet comments!
DeleteI'm in love with these circular alphas and how you used them!
ReplyDeleteGood idea your way to use alphabet ! lovely layout !
ReplyDeleteThe scrapbooking trend I love lately, is seeing people use entire sets of alphas on one page! You did it here, and I'm seeing it more and more lately. I love what it adds to a page!
ReplyDeleteI love that trend as well, Maddie. Thank you!
DeleteBeautiful page! Love all the alphas!
ReplyDeleteAwesome page!
ReplyDeleteThis layout is so pretty! I love how you used all of the circle letters/numbers!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute page! Love the idea of using alphas to make a background!
ReplyDeleteLove the layout! What an awesome idea for using alpha stickers which I have a ton of!
ReplyDeleteFun layout! Great use
ReplyDeleteof the letters.

Wow crazy that you used all your letter sheet on 1 layout, but it looks awesome. Thanks 4 share!
ReplyDeleteBecki, I love your use of the alpha stickers as a design element! I need to do that more to reduce my stash of alphas!!

ReplyDeleteYour use of alphas is inspiring! I'm still working on my use or should I say non use of white space. It's something I want to do more of but sometimes have a hard time leaving good enough alone!
ReplyDeleteI have such a hard time with that. I love white space but it's one of the hardest things for me to do. That's something I'd love to work on as well. Thanks!
DeleteSuper cute layout! The letters on the side look awesome! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteI actually tried to create my own Bokeh look with a stamp, Distress ink and Glimmer Mist yesterday and I think I will need to do it again! It'll be appearing on my blog on Monday if you care to take a peak.
Thanks for all you share!
That sounds great Ruth! I'll have to stop by and take a peek! Thank you!
DeleteGreat page! Very inspiring how you used your alpha!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome!! I had one a-ha moment recently, and it was with one of my new Prima stamps. She's a big stamp, and did not have a bloc large enough for her. Someone mentioned on a forum to use a Cuttlebug plate. A-Ha!!!!! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance!
I saw that tip the other day too. I don't have any larger stamps but I will no longer overlook buying them because I don't have a big enough block. Thank you for sharing your a-ha moment!
DeleteI love how you choose to use the letters and numbers! I have only recently found the fun of misting and painting on my layouts... I'm really loving embossing paste right now too!
ReplyDeleteEmbossing paste sounds like a lot of fun! I'll have to check it out! Thank you!
DeleteSuch a fun layout! Love how you used the letters & numbers, framed the photo, & the washi tape with the butterfly as a border! So cute!
ReplyDeleteFabulous! I love all the colors, patterns and your use of the letters!
ReplyDeleteThis is such an adorable page Becki! Love the cute photo! Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteLove the way you used those alphas!! Such bright and fun colors on this page too! Probably my most recent ah ha moment has been that I have learned to scrap in layers. Sometimes I use paint or mist and it's a pain in the read when you mess it up! So. I've learned that it's ok to leave a project alone and let it dry before continuing. Maybe that's not rocket science. But still. ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL, I love that you mentioned this. I have a problem leaving my projects alone to dry as well. I've found that moving the project that needs to dry somewhere else while I start a new project helps me to leave it alone until it's dry. Thank you!
DeleteAHA moment... okay to cut down my photos after printing instead of over-editing before printing ; )
ReplyDeleteMichelle, I think that's a great moment. Simplifying the editing/printing process leaves more time to create! Thank you for your comments!
Deletewhat a fun way to use the alphas! no ahas for me lately just trying to make time to scrap!
ReplyDeleteTessa, I think that a lot of times a great a-ha moment is simply finding a little bit of time when you can routinely create, i.e. right after lunch, after putting the kids to bed, or simply trying to squeeze 15 minutes of creative time into your day! Thank you for your sweet comment!
DeleteBeautiful page. Love all of the circles, the pink polka dot paper, the embellishments. Good way to use up all of the alphabet stickers I have around the room. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh my, I LOVE how you've created a background with the letter stickers! Wonderful clustering of the different embellies too.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet sweet photo and page! :)
Love your layout, the use of the alphas as a background has got my wheels turning!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your page
ReplyDeletethis kit is so beautiful - Love it
Love the layout. I have never thought to use my alphas like that. Fun idea. Thanks for sharing
