Scrapbooking Themed Birthday Party (Part 2) *GIVEAWAY*

***Giveaway is CLOSED***
As you all know memory keeping is my passion and is a life style for our family. I am also passionate about sharing my love of scrapbooking. I do that mostly here on my blog but I also want to share that passion with kids. I think it's so important that they learn how and why documenting memories is important. That's one of the reasons we (my daughter and I) chose a scrapbooking themed birthday party for her.

My little girlie's scrapbooking themed birthday party was a huge hit.  (If you missed part 1 you can find it HERE.) We had so much fun (me and the girls). The first thing we did when the girls arrived was took lots and lots of photos. I set up a photo booth in the basement using a black backdrop and a few photo props that I created using my Silhouette Cameo and a few dowels. The photo booth is one area that I was a little bit disappointed with. I forgot to test the lighting out before the party and I ended up having to use the flash on my camera so the photos didn't turn out as good as I had hoped.

After we took A LOT of photos in the photo booth I sent my husband on a mad dash to the one hour photo.

He came home with a HUGE stack of photos. I had him print enough duplicates so that each girl had her own set of photos from the party. We had the tables set up in my kitchen with American Crafts This to That adhesive and a few tools scattered down the center of the tables.

Each girl had a stack of her very own brand new supplies to play with. I chose the Pebbles We Go Together collection because it's such an adorable collection and the party was so close to Valentines Day.
To say the girls had fun playing with all the pretty paper, stickers, and glue would be an understatement. They giggled, laughed, and had so much fun looking at and playing with all the photos we took.

Overall, I think the party was a huge success. At the end of the party I had a happy little girl and that's all that matters.

He's Five! {Bella Blvd, Tiny Tots Collection}

My little man recently turned 5. I can't believe he's 5 already. It really does feel like he was a tiny little guy just yesterday. He means the world to his daddy and me. He's so much fun and makes me happy everyday! On his birthday we went to the zoo. I was able to snap a couple of quick photos of him. I decided to use on of Bella Blvd's new collections (Tiny Tots) to document some of his favorite things at the age of 5.
There will be inspiration all week long on the Bella Blvd blog using the 4 new collections. (I'll have a few projects here on my blog too.)
Here's the one I created using Tiny Tots.

 Even though it's a collection designed for toddlers. It worked perfectly for my preschool aged guy. There's the most adorable chipboard set to go with this collection. That's where the title came from.
Primary colors are my favorite to work with. I love bold bright colors and patterns.

And here's the whole project:
This layout came together so easily. I simply used 2 columns of patterned papers and built up from there. I used one column for the photo and the title and the other column for journaling and a bit of embellishing.

I can't wait to show you more projects that I've created with this collection...stay tuned!

I mentioned earlier that I love to create with Primary colors. Is there a color palette that you like to use over and over?
