Shine Beautiful Girl {Scrapbooking Process Video}

I don't know how Spring Break came and went SO quickly. During Spring Break we did a major overhaul of my crafting space. I have a few finishing touches to put together and then I'll be ready to share it with you. I think you'll love it!

Today, I have a process video to share with you. I created this layout with two 3 1/2 x 5 photos (one is hidden with the journaling. I've been really trying to make sure all my projects include a lot of journaling. Journaling is SO important! I was recently reminded of this when my kids were looking through their albums and reading the journaling. When they came to a page that didn't have journaling and asked me to tell them about the photo. I realized how important those few words were to them.
Here's the layout I created:
I wanted to create a quilted look with this layout. I used a hexagon punch and my sewing machine to created the background. Because the background was so busy I kept the embellishments to a minimum.
The title is made from Thickers and an embellishment from the Bloom collection.
Here's a peek at the hidden journaling. The journaling isn't really a personal, I just wanted to let the quilted background shine and have an interactive element on the page. Come watch the video and see how this layout comes together.

 Also, if you could take a minute to subscribe to my YouTube channel, I would really appreciate it. Have a happy Tuesday!

  2. Becki... I LOVE this layout! Love what you did with your background with the hexagon pieces. And I love the final choice for the layout background. That light gray color is perfect because it is muted and lets your quilted hexagon background shine... I really love this. And I cannot just talk about the layout without complimenting that absolute gorgeous baby girl! She's precious!!! I love your choice to print the photo in black and white. Beautiful contrast! I enjoy your videos so much so please continue to make them. I am usually quite and don't say much as I am usually overwhelmed with the amount of email I get, I try to get through them nightly and just kinda read or watch and go to the next one. I apologize for that, but I am always reading and watching your blog posts that come straight to my email. I would also like to see some layouts done in Project life style if you can.... and if you wouldn't mind, is there any way possible that I can get you to email me? I would love to talk to you about something. Thanks a bunch and I hope you have a great evening!
    Hugs

  3. This turned out gorgeous Becki! Love the quilting! I can't wait to see your new room. It's Spring Break here this week and I feel like we've hardly accomplished anything (although I am enjoying a little rest finally). ;) Big hugs!
