Heritage Scrapbooking

As you know, I've been doing a few heritage scrapbooking projects. (You can find details HERE and HERE and HERE). Today I wanted to share with you a two page spread I created with a wallet size photo of my great grandma. I may have gotten a little carried away with the Thickers on this layout but I think I got my point across. ;)

I wanted this layout to emphasize vast amount of quilts that my great grandma made. She made hundreds of quilts for dozens of family members and friends.

I added a lot of hand journaling on the right side of the two page spread as well as a few more Thickers to balance out the huge amount of Thickers that I added on the layout on the left side.

I love how this layout turned out and I think that when my family looks at this layout they will remember exactly how much my great grandma quilted.

Even though this photo my not qualify as a heritage photo because it's not that old (it was taken circa 2000). I think it is relevant to heritage scrapbooking because it tells a story that dates back several years.

Have you done any heritage scrapbooking lately? Where do you find inspiration for your heritage scrapbooking?
